Play ball! Little League is going on. One reason I love this area ... look at the Blue Ridge Mountains behind the ball field.
A stroll around my yard in the 85-degree weather revealed many blooming trees, shrubs, and flowers. This is a flowering plum.

Quince. The delicate flowers bloom on branches hiding prickly thorns.
