Late mail presents problems for central Shenandoah Valley residents

There's an enhanced meaning to the phrase "snail mail" in the central Shenandoah Valley area of Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County where residents have expressed frustration with late deliveries that have seen magazines arrive two months after they appeared on store shelves.

Some folks have noticed late store ads that have arrived past the sale dates. Reporter Bob Stuart at the Waynesboro News Virginian has a front page story today about the issue and reasons the post office suggests it may be better in the near future.
