Support grows for McDonnell's transportation plan

Nine Additional Virginia Transportation and Business Associations Announce Support for Governor’s Transportation Funding Plan ~ Join 27 Business and Transportation Associations Already Backing Plan

RICHMOND – Nine additional business and transportation associations have announced that they are supporting Governor Bob McDonnell’s transportation funding plan. This announcement comes after the endorsement of the Northern Virginia Technology Council earlier this week. Two weeks ago 26 groups joined together in announcing their support.

Speaking about the announcement, Governor McDonnell remarked, “It is gratifying to see more leaders in the business and transportation community recognize the urgency of our transportation problems and endorse the innovative solution we has put forth. The plan will put $4 billion into our transportation system and create new jobs. Virginians will not tolerate excuses or delay on transportation and we’re honored to have the support of these respected institutions for our plan.”
