Wintry November day ...

With temperatures in the low 30s in Augusta County today, it was definitely wintry-feeling with snow flurries once again making it look like winter. A brisk north wind made the chill much colder than the 32 degrees it read on the thermometer.

The pond caught my attention with the reflection of the surrounding hardwood trees, stark and stripped of their leaves, compared with the fullness of the evergreens. The sky overhead was an indicator of the cold weather with the dark clouds also reflected in the water.

We are still a month away from the official beginning of winter in the Shenandoah Valley....
