“I was shocked and saddened to hear of the senseless act of violence that occurred today against Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, her staff, and members of the Tucson community.
Just two days ago Gabby joined me and other Members of Congress in reading aloud the U.S. Constitution on the House Floor. My thoughts and prayers are with Gabby, her family, her staff and others who were affected by today’s tragic events in Tucson.”
