Waynesboro: Thieves hit unlocked cars

If you're storing items such as an iPod, a GPS, car keys, prescription medicine, CDs, or credit cards in your vehicle, you may want to lock the doors to prevent thieves from easily making away with your possessions.

In Waynesboro, at least 15 unlocked vehicles had property stolen from them on New Year's Eve, according to WHSV TV-3 and the Waynesboro News Virginian. The vehicles were located on B Street, 4th Street, Reservoir Street and Horace Avenue.
