A tradition at the Homestead is complimentary afternoon tea. From 3-4:00 each afternoon tea is served in the Great Hall to guests who sit and visit, drink tea and eat crumpets. The tradition has evolved over the years ... it used to be served in the dining room with more choices of tea sandwiches, crumpets, andmore ... but it has now been moved to the Great Hall. However, if one would like the full selection it may be purchased for $22.
We had tea for three ... my husband, daughter, and myself ... while my parents had tea for two by the fireplace with some folks they had met here.
Afternoon tea ... it's a tradition.
