Western Virginia's icy rivers and streams ...

Mill Creek, Bath County

Mill Creek

Cowpasture River, Bath County

Below freezing temperatures the past week have rivers and streams in Augusta and Bath counties frozen or icy-edged as winter edges closer. The Cowpasture River, which runs along Rt 39 in Bath County, had ice and snow along its edges and a thin layer of ice completely covered its surface.

It is a reminder that we are just getting into the winter season....
