Live blogging the AG debate with the Kenney brothers

We are in the Regency Ballroom of the Homestead and have set up a make-shift bloggers row at the back of the room at the water table. Everyone is gathering around ... Shaun and Jason Kenney, Alton Foley, Krystle Weeks ... all here to cover the Attorney General debate for the Republican Party of Virginia.

Jeff Shapiro with the Richmond Times-Dispatch just walked over and introduced himself ... this is the "media" corner. Alton Foley noted the biggest news of the weekend is Shapiro is not wearing a bow tie ... at the Homestead, no less!

Since Shaun and Jason are seriously covering what is going on, I will try to cover what else is occurring in the room.

Governor Jim Gilmore is now speaking about the election and his optimism is contagious. He is not down in the dumps about losing the election ... he is not down in the dumps about the Party ... he has already moved ahead and is thinking of the future. I spoke with him before the debate ... we were pleased to see Augusta County go for him in the election.

Former Albemarle County GOP Chairman Keith Drake is his own media machine with video and camera as he documents the bloggers. It is a party at the back of the room as we laugh and type (and make typos ... I'm trying to clear those up).
