A Staunton man who went missing in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Shenandoah National Park in September died of exposure, as reported by the medical examiner's office in Richmond.
Earl Funk, 49, who was hunting for ginseng, did not return at the appointed time to meet a friend, and his body was found two weeks later after an extensive search by over 150 people. The area where he was found is extremely rugged terrain.
