RPV thanks Mike Thomas

Alec Thomas, 18, with his dad, Mike Thomas
at last summer's Chesterfield Veterans Appreciation Picnic.

As he had done on previous occasions, RPV 1st Vice Chairman Mike Thomas found himself at the helm of the Party on April 4 after the vote to remove former chairman Jeff Frederick.

Saturday he was thanked for his unselfish service to the Party with a standing ovation from State Central Committee members after 10th District Chair Jim Rich paid tribute by announcing Republicans were grateful to Mr. Thomas ... and the lingering standing ovation showed the amount of respect for the man.

Saying that enthusiasm is building in the GOP, Mike announced that over 10,000 delegates had signed up for the Republican Convention to be held at the Richmond Coliseum May 29-30, finances were improving, and humbly said that what the grassroots leaders did was far more important and difficult than anything he had done.

That was gracious ... and untrue. If not for Mike's steadying hand, the past month would have been tumultuous. Thank you, Mike Thomas, for your service to the Party.

Linwood, thanks for what ALL of you do to help the Party.

We're looking forward to the Republican Roundup in October!
