The Waynesboro News Virginian has the story of the arrests of the 18- and 20-year-old men who were charged with first degree murder and larcency. It makes one wonder how two young men got off so badly on the wrong track that they committed murder at a time when most their age are concerned about things like proms or college exams.]
Sad ... murder in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
From the Waynesboro News Virginian:
Nelson County Sheriff’s investigators are now seeking two unidentified men in the killing of Opal Page, 73, discovered Wednesday stabbed to death in her Afton home.Sad....
Nelson County Sheriff David Brooks said he is not “dismissing or ruling anything out’’ as for the motive in the woman’s killing.
The sheriff said family members are checking through Page’s home to see if any items are missing.
Authorities say someone broke into Page’s modest, ranch home in the 7200 block of Rockfish Valley Highway sometime Wednesday. Page, 73, was found in a pool of blood after she was reported to have missed a lunch date.
