Georgia special election ... Dems send reinforcements

In the Dems' quest to obtain yet another senate seat, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported:
"Obama is keeping 25 of his Georgia field offices open for Martin, leaving most of his in-state paid staff here and importing about 100 field operatives from Southern states to help Martin ..."
Republican Senator Saxby Chambliss received just under 50% of the vote which sent him into a runoff special election on December 2, 2008. The Wall Street Journal reported on gaps in campaign finance laws as millions of dollars pour into Georgia from Democrats and Republicans as they fight for a seat that would give the Dems one more toward the 60 super-majority. Republicans are working to preserve the seat for their side of the aisle.
