Mary Baldwin College Republicans plan Yuletide cheer for Troops

The young ladies in the Mary Baldwin College Republican Club are working to spread Christmas cheer to American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan by making Christmas cards to mail overseas.

The club, which consists of 35 members, has been helpful throughout the years with Republican politics in the SWAC area. Their Tuesday meeting, which was attended by Staunton's coordinator of grassroots development Alex Davis, also had members making plans for a holiday shoe drive for donations of new or nearly new shoes for local needy families, and planning a trip to Washington, DC.

The Mary Baldwin Republicans worked with the McCain-Palin campaign this fall and have been helpful throughout the years with various GOP campaigns.
