Busy blogosphere roundup

It's been an extremely busy week ... there's so much to do and time is flying. Here's my short roundup....

SWAC bloggers....
Congrats to Yankee Phil who is sitting in the #1 spot this week on BlogNetNews/Virginia, and to Fishersville Mike in the #3 spot.

Over at The Journey, Bob has his weekly "THYME Magazine: Citizen Journalism With a Better Flavor," as well as other interesting posts and beautiful photographs from this photo-blogger who looks at the world through an artist's eye.

David at the Augusta Conservative wrote about two Americans who were shot dead at the Arizona border. That's something we haven't heard a lot about in the news.

Wild Eyes....
Many are writing about the 16-year-old girl who was attempting to sail solo around the world when her sailboat mast broke and left her stranded in a stormy Indian Ocean. Some feel the parents neglected their responsibility by allowing one so young to go alone ... others feel it is the independence, learning, and responsibility of a home schooled student.

Tom White at Virginia Right! and Bob at The Journey both had positive viewpoints about the trip. David at Augusta Conservative was neutral. Fishersville Mike appears to agree with Jerry's concerned thoughts at From On High. Everyone makes valid points, in my book.

Miscellaneous posts....
Chris at Mason Conservative has some nice thoughts in "This might be Sarah Palin's legacy" about Sarah Palin and her leadership as Republican women step out.

Riley has the latest news from the Gulf on the oil spill over at Virginia Virtucon.

DJ has the latest smear in SC over at Rightwing Liberal.

Hope to have more next week when there may be more time to dedicate to the weekly roundup....

Why when I click on Fishersville Mike does it say his blog is not found? Is Blogger playing tricks on me?

Pat, I emailed Mike this morning when the problem persisted from yesterday into today and he said he's having some issues so we hope he will be back on soon. I'll pass along your inquiry because it's nice to be missed. :) I told him I was having Fishersville Mike withdrawal. Hope you're enjoying your summer vacation from school.
