Republican Advance ... dinner with Congressman Eric Cantor

Trixie Averill and Kathy Terry
GOP Women Fay Williamson and Brenda Campbell

11th District Chair Becky Stoeckel

The invitation came two weeks before the Republican Advance:

Please join
Congressman & Mrs. Eric Cantor
for Dinner
at
Sam Snead's Tavern
Friday, December 5th
at
8:00 pm

I was honored and happy to join the eleven Congressional District Chairs along with other GOP activists including Mike Thomas, Kevin Gentry, Kathy Terry, Trixie Averill, Kevin Gentry, Steve Baril, Fay Williamson, Marie Quinn, Brenda Campbell, Marcus Boyd, Bruce Meyer, Kristi Way, and others for a wonderful evening of Republican fellowship, great food, and an opportunity to hear from our new Congressional Whip.

Sam Snead's Tavern has a rustic decor and is located across the street from the Homestead, a part of the Homestead complex. After hearty appetizers, dinner consisted of garden salad, salmon, chicken, beef, pasta alfredo, broccoli, blanched green beans with almonds, mashed potatoes, carrots, and rolls followed by dessert choices of German chocolate cake, chocolate cream-pecan pie, or key lime pie ... plus ice cream.

After being introduced by 7th District Chairman Linwood Cobb, Congressman Eric Cantor inspired those present with a positive message of moving forward as Republicans. Heads nodded in agreement as he talked about where we have lost our way and how to get back on the path of Republican principles and winning again.

A gold-colored box wrapped in gold ribbon sat at each person's place ... "Historical Chocolates of Washington, DC," as a gift for everyone.

It was a positive evening with a positive message in a friendly environment. Thank you to the Congressman and Chairman Linwood Cobb for inviting me to be a part of it.
