Thanksgiving 2009 ... much to be thankful for

I'm taking a brief break from the kitchen ... sister and brother-in-law put the bird in the oven at 5:30 this morning and the house smells good. We're aiming for a 1:00 dinner time which leaves the afternoon for a walk, playing board games, working over the annual zillion-piece jigsaw puzzle, and jamming guitars as music fills the air on this Virginia Thanksgiving.

Greetings from friends have come from around the country, and we are grateful to celebrate this day together with family and friends ... Thanksgiving 2009.
