George Allen campaign announces three additional U.S. Senate debates

Henrico, VA – The George Allen for U.S. Senate campaign today announced a final agreement for three additional debates this fall with Democrat U.S. Senate Candidate Tim Kaine.  These debates will bring George Allen’s debate participation total to eight debates, including two previous debates with Tim Kaine and three previous GOP Primary debates.

“George Allen has welcomed this election’s debate opportunities to contrast his vision and record with that of Tim Kaine,” said Mike Thomas, Campaign Manager for George Allen for U.S. Senate. “We are pleased to announce that George Allen will participate in three debates this fall for a total of eight debates this election. We are grateful to the debate hosts for their leadership in providing an opportunity for Virginians to hear directly from the U.S. Senate candidates. In these debates, Virginians will see a clear difference in George Allen’s record of less government, lower taxes and more jobs versus Tim Kaine’s record for more government, tax increases and fewer jobs in Virginia.”

The Allen and Kaine campaigns have reached agreements with three debate hosts for the following debates:

-          September 20, 2012
U.S. Senate Debate Hosted by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce

-          October 8, 2012
