Live blogging from Weyers Cave Airport ... # 8

Lt. Gov. Bolling just said Tuesday night will feel good when we SWEEP all three offices and the next four years Virginia's team will do whatever it takes to lead the greatest state in the greatest nation to a prosperous future. LET'S GO MAKE IT HAPPEN!! (cheers, applause)

Lt. Gov. Bolling is now introducing Bob McDonnell....

(huge cheers from crowd, signs waving)

Bob McDonnell is a good, decent man with the right principles and values to lead Virginia in these challenging together. We are friend ... the next governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia ... BOB McDONNELL.... (cheers, cheers)

Bob McDonnell: What a great reception here in Weyers Cave. We are ready to win if you are ready to win! (cheers) I thought you were! Thank you to our veterans who understand the cause of freedom. (cheers) I see a bunch of folks who understand the 2nd Amendment -- this is the NRA-endorsed ticket!

Good to see those pink Women for McDonnell signs! Great Republican women who have done so much to help us get to this point and we are glad to have our Republican women here today -- JeanAnne Bolling and Maureen McDonnell. (cheers)

(A photographer just stepped on a glass table in front of us ... hmmm)

I am so honored and excited to be your candidate. Never dreamed while growing up that I would one day have the chance to compete for the seat once held by Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry, and I want to thank you all for that opportunity. (cheers and applause)

Thank you to Bob Goodlatte for your help. You are working hard in Washington with your colleagues and we thank you for taking a principled stand on your side of the aisle. And I hope the reason we're here is that it's the small businessman, entrepreaneur, you, who will turn this economy around. Use talents to pursue God-given dream to grow out of economic downturn and we will help to achieve that. We want to make Virginia the energy capital of the east coast -- coal, oil, gas -- (cheers from crowd) ... put money into transportation. We know we need to do a better job at getting our young children access to the American dream -- thank you young people who are here tonight -- the future of the Republican Party.

We understand but we need to make sure we spend your money more wisely. We are all hearing that we have to make that money go further. Need more transparency and user-friendly government. Tax increases is not the way to prosperity. We need your help! This is the two-minute drill ... thanks for giving up the NFL games to come out ... elections are controlled by those who show up. Freedom isn't free ... it's been purchased at a price. The blood, sweat, and tears of men and women in uniform have given us the democracy we enjoy, the freedoms we have. My daughter was in Iraq where 70% of Iraqis comes out to vote in the first free elections in 70 years. (jeanine McDonnell) We need to do that in America. We need you to take these freedoms seriously and come out on Election Day. (cheers)

Put up that last sign, bumper sticker, make phone call, send last email ... talk with neighbors and co-workers ... tell there there's a lot at stake. We will have a great victory on Nov. 3. Thank you very much! (CHEERS, SIGNS WAVING)
