March snow in the Shenandoah Valley

It's a snow day in the Shenandoah Valley. Weather forecasters first predicted 1-3" and then adjusted to 2-4" but now we're approaching 6" on the deck and still coming down.

This photo was taken at 8:00 this morning. The forecast is for snow to end by later this morning and temperatures are expected to rise to 40 degrees ... a typical March snow.
