Heavy snow falling in Shenandoah Valley

At 11:00 p.m., heavy snow continues with about 4 inches of snow on the deck railing. It is supposed to snow all Thursday so will be interesting to, first, see how much is out there in the morning and, second, what the totals end up being tomorrow night. An earlier emergency management email said up to 20 inches could be possible at elevations over 1000 feet. Our house is at 1600 feet.

The snow has been a perfect backdrop while watching the Winter Olympics. Here's hoping the electricity doesn't go out because that means we will miss some of the games. Stay warm and safe out there....
