Wheeee! It's the first day of spring!
Jonquils are blooming ... the forsythia have yellow buds ... the flowering plum has pink buds ... and the crocuses are "croaking," as my mom always says. The yard is about to erupt into glorious color!
Night-time temperatures this week have not been below freezing so the tree frogs are singing in the woods behind the house, a cheerful chorus that we look forward to each year.
It's spring in the Shenandoah Valley....
