Green Leaf Grill in Waynesboro

The Green Leaf Grill in downtown Waynesboro offers an eclectic choice of lunch and dinner choices including appetizers, sandwiches, vegetarian selections, seafood twists, gourmet pizza, and entrees. Barb was very pleased with her Greek chicken panini with a side of fruit, and I was equally happy with the ham and swiss cheese panini with honey mustard and a side of fries. The iced tea (straight up, no lemon) was freshly brewed and good.

Banners on the front window note the Green Leaf Grill's selection by the Waynesboro News Virginian readers as the Valley's Favorite New Restaurant.

Our booth beside the front window offered a view of Main Street and the comings and goings of folks at mid-day including my friend Bob who blogs at The Journey. I grabbed my camera and snapped a photo of him across the street walking with his daughter. An interesting element not seen until processing the photo is the cross that is formed by lines marking on-street parking spaces.

This thought-provoking sign in the ladies room advertised upcoming wine tastings.

I wish I'd known you were across the street. I was actually working on something exciting that will be coming to that vacant building behind us.

We were measuring inside the building with the big "for lease" sign on it so I could do some drawings.

Next time, ring my cell phone and we'll do lunch!
