Thank you, President Bush, for keeping America safe. Thank you for protecting our families when terrorism struck on 9/11, when you vowed to keep American citizens safe. You kept your promise, and you honored us by your calm and steady leadership during the storm. You have laughed with us, cried with us, and carried the burden of the country on your shoulders the past eight years. We will be forever grateful.
Our prayers and best wishes go with you as you return to life as a private citizen. Godspeed, Mr. President.

He did a fine job.
But he lost me when he declared that "Islam is a religion of peace."
It reminded me too much of Prime Minister Chamberlain.
We did endure eight years of no more terrorist attacks however; thanks to him being president.
