He's a familiar face at Harrisonburg functions, both on and off duty, and on Friday it was announced that he had been appointed by Governor Bob McDonnell to be on the state Board of Corrections.
Lt. Kurt Boshart, a 25-year member of the Harrisonburg Police Department, will be a member of the nine-member board, making decisions about issues concerning state prisons. He is an excellent addition, and we thank him for his service on the board.
