October in Mom's yard

Acorns absolutely covered the ground ... the biggest crop seen in years.

The puffin from Alaska where my sister once lived.

I'm finally getting some of the photos uploaded and posted after a busy, busy, busy October. Since November is beginning to look to be almost as busy leading into the holidays, it was time to get this batch of photos cleared out and get ready for the next ones. Mom's yard is full of flowers, greenery, interesting nooks and crannies and places to sit while contemplating life or just enjoying the day. Mom walked the yard with me this day in October as she named just about everything growing there. Thanks for the stroll, Mom!
