A small plane crashed Thursday night in the mountains of Virginia, killing at least two with another person missing. On its way to Winchester from Georgia, the plane went down in Madison County east of Skyline Drive which is located in the Shenandoah National Park.
Search teams were based out of the Syria Mercantile Store with about 20 rescuers on all-terrain vehicles and horseback searching the rough mountaineous terrain.
