When all nine of Virginia's living governors gather in one place, that's news. It doesn't matter if they are Republican or Democratic; it's an historic event.
On Tuesday, April 17, the Sorensen Institute of the University of Virginia will host that stellar lineup including current Governor Bob McDonnell (R), and also including two former governors, George Allen (R) and Tim Kaine (D), who are currently running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Jim Webb.
The event will feature former governors Mark Warner (D), Linwood Holton (R), Chuck Robb (D), Jerry Baliles (D), Doug Wilder (D), and Jim Gilmore (R) in addition to McDonnell, Allen, and Kaine.
