Deerfield in the western part of Augusta County (it bumps up against Highland County) has no cell service. Supervisor Tracy Pyles (D-Pastures) has proposed the county explore the possibility of using infrastructure funds to construct a cell tower in that area. Studies will now begin to discover the pros and cons of the government taking on this project.
