New Year's Eve 2008 ... high wind advisory and cold temps

The Shenandoah Valley will be cold and blustery at midnight as we welcome in the New Year. High temps for the day occurred overnight ... the thermometer will drop all day as we see snow flurries and wind gusts up to 50 mph as we remain under a high wind advisory. Overnight will be in the teens ... chill factor will make it feel like single digits.

From WHSV TV-3 out of Harrisonburg:
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory all of our viewing areal until 6 pm Wednesday. Wind gusts could reach 45 mph and caution should be used. A Winter Weather Advisory is also now in effect for Pendleton and Western Grant Counties in WV until 6 pm. Some of the highest peaks could pick up to 3 inches of snow.
Seasonal temperatures are back as we head into 2009....
