Brunswick stew day

Before leaving for work this morning, SWAC Daughter put in a request for Brunswick stew so the good smell of chicken and onions and potatoes is wafting through the house. With company coming in this evening, I'm doing last-minute house cleaning with frequent stops by the computer staying updated with news and working on a Washington Examiner post.

Outside it's still cool with temperatures in the 30s and overnight snow on the mountains. They surely do look pretty in the distance. A high today in the upper 40s will feel colder than that as the winds pick up during the afternoon. That Brunswick stew will be warm and yummy tonight with a salad and biscuits.

It's early spring in the Valley as we wait for warmer weather to arrive....
