At one time there was a candidate who planned to primary long-time legislator Steve Landes (R-25th House District) but, after he dropped out of the race, Landes faced no GOP opposition and on Tuesday was declared the Republican nominee.
Delegate Landes serves as vice chairman of the House Education Committee, and chairman of the Economic Development, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Subcommittee of House Appropriations. He has served in the House of Delegates for 18 years.
