Peacenik shoots Operation Iraqi Freedom vet ... MSM silence is overwhelming

On the Fourth of July, a 22-year-old U.S. veteran of the war in Iraq was shot by a 22-year-old peacenik who had issues with the U.S. military and the war. He confronted McGuire Air Force Base loadmaster Jonathan Schrieken in front of Schrieken's house in Camden, NJ, and shot him in the chest.

Michelle Malkin's column in the Waynesboro News Virginian on July 12 was titled "When peaceniks attack, journalists snooze" where she tells the story few have heard.
Airman Schrieken, who is stationed at Fort Dix, NJ, and has served in Iraq and Afghanistan, remains in critical condition.

Reaction from the mainstream media?

... silence ...
There has been barely a mention of this incident in the press. A young man, in the Air Force, who has served overseas to protect the freedoms of us all, was shot in his own driveway ... and the mainstream media is silent.

Flip the scenario and imagine if a U.S. soldier had shot an anti-war protester. The world would have stopped, the MSM would be screaming the headlines day-after-day, and there would be riots by "peaceniks" throughout the U.S.

Hypocrisy reigns supreme with the MSM and the liberal left.

I sure am a happy camper since we subscribed to the News-Virginian. I've since gotten our family to do so as well as canceling their old subscriptions to the news "leader."
