Waynesboro News Virginian ... "VDOT: $500 million needed for I-81"

In today's Waynesboro News Virginian, a Bob Stuart article tells how Virginia needs $500 million to cover the cost of safety improvements on I-81.

Where to find the money?

A report earlier this week discussed Governor Tim Kaine's proposal for "universal" pre-school for three- and four-year-olds at the minimum cost of $500 million but more likely, according to experts, to cost closer to $900 million a year.

Here's a thought. Forget universal pre-school ... the government shouldn't be paying for it anyway ... and put that money into I-81 improvements.

I'm sure that David Albo took care of that little problem by managing to find a way to invoke hefty fines of Virginia residents in traffic court.
