More snow headed to Virginia?

The groundhog predicted an early spring but was Old Man Winter listening? Reading the weather sites around the internet, the "s" word seems to be creeping back into the Virginia forecast with the possibility that two winter storms may be headed this way.

AccuWeather's expert senior meterologist Alex Sosnowski is warning that winter is not over yet.

The Weather Channel is predicting the possibility of snow on Thursday which seems to be the target day.

WxRisk, the Richmond area meteorologist who predicted the 10-inch snow in the Shenandoah Valley a week ago, is watching the computer models line up for a possibly big winter event in parts of Virginia.

WeatherBug has a chance of frozen precipitation for Virginia, also on Thursday, as does Harrisonburg's WHSV TV-3 and Charlottesville's NBC-29.

Some are ready for spring but others -- and I'm one of them -- would like to see winter play out a bit more. It is, after all, only February. If another snowstorm came through on Thursday, we'd welcome it with open arms.

It's winter in the Shenandoah Valley....
