I just called a friend in Lynchburg who attends Dr. Jerry Falwell's church. I had read the news reports and wanted to confirm ... that Dr. Falwell had passed away. Sadly, it's true.
Say what you will about this man ... he did wonderful things for this world.
My daughter and Maxfield attended a concert at Thomas Road Baptist Church three weeks ago, a free concert by Signature Sound, a group of young men who sing patriotic and uplifting songs. The church was packed ... and standing there greeting folks was Jerry Falwell ... the host, the patron, the pastor.
This is a sad day indeed....

Good concert. They sang in convocation several times for the student body.
