Augusta County GOP debate party

Friday will be the first of three planned Presidential debates between Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama as we lead up to the final weeks of the campaign.

In Augusta County a tradition throughout the years has been to have debate get-togethers and this year is no excpetion. Augusta County Republicans will gather at SWAC Girl's house for fun and fellowship as we cheer on our candidate, disagree with the opponent, and discuss various issues.

The party will be in conjunction with the Mary Baldwin College Republicans who are taking an active role in this year's campaign. Alex Davis, Staunton's Vice Chairman of Grassroots Development and a fellow CR, has worked to coordinate the event.

Round one: Friday, September 26, Ole Miss (University of Mississippi), 8:00 p.m. where foreign policy and national security issues will be the topic.
