SWAC politics ... playing catch-up today

With the number of events around the SWAC area recently, I'm taking much of today to play catch-up by getting photos posted and working on commentary. It's also election day in Staunton and Waynesboro so I'm working on that, too ... reports on turnout, candidate interactions, volunteers at the polls, and waiting for the results this evening.

Busy days mean the political season is gearing up big-time. We laughed yesterday as the cracker-jack SWAC Team gathered for Susan Allen's appearance in Staunton, joking that the smell of bumper stickers and freshly-printed yard signs is in the air ... and in our blood. We've been at this for a long time -- over a decade for some, more than two decades for one member of the team.

Social media, blogging, phone conferences, personal appearances, campaign collateral, volunteers, phone lists, door-knocking ... it's all part of the process.

And so it continues....
