Well-known Staunton resident Judge Victor Ludwig was selected by the General Assembly on Wednesday to succeed retiring Judge Thomas Wood who has been on the bench for 25 years. Mr. Ludwig was once a partner in the Staunton law firm of Nelson, McPherson, Summers and Santos.
The position vacated by Mr. Ludwig will be filled by Laura Dascher of Bath County.
