Young Republican Conference in Richmond this weekend

"We've got to get excited again!"

Those were the words of wisdom to the YRs from Delegate Jeff Frederick (R-Prince William) at their convention this weekend in Richmond. Frederick, at the age of 32, qualifies as a Young Republican himself. The group includes those who are between 18 and 41 years of age.

Delegate Frederick said Republicans need the grassroots involvement to bring excitement back into the Party.

The YRs heard from a stellar lineup of Republican leaders including Lt. Governor Bill Bolling, Attorney General Bob McDonnell, and former Virginia governor Jim Gilmore, who addressed the group about various issues.

The convention ends today.
