RC Poll: George Allen up 8% over Kaine

Great news this morning for Republican U.S. Senate candidate George Allen who has pulled away from Democrat Tim Kaine in the latest Roanoke College poll:
Republican George Allen has opened an eight-point lead (45%-37%) on Democrat Tim Kaine in a likely November matchup for the U.S. Senate seat from Virginia according to The Roanoke College Poll.
Expected to be the battle of the titans, Virginia's senate race is between two former governors who must make it through their Party primaries. However, they are expected to be the candidates.

Bearing Drift colleague Shaun Kenney posted the poll results and noted:
Allen on the economy. Kaine all over the map (and losing). There’s your takeaway.
George Allen has been crisscrossing the Commonwealth talking jobs, economy, and energy with his Blueprint for America's Comeback.

Perhaps Tim Kaine needs to rethink his undying support of President Barack Obama's overreaching government policies and do less finger-pointing.

I wonder if Tim Kaine will have his name painted on The Septic Tank ? [click to view]. It would be fitting as I still think of all those closed rest areas every time his name is mentioned.

LOL. His name always reminds me of the closed rest areas, too ... that so irritated me at the time because it was so obviously political. Finding later there was $1.1 billion dollars in VDOT made it even more irritating. Thanks for the laugh and reminder of the septic tank....
