With the Blue Ridge Mountains as a back drop, the stage for Thursday's Mitt Romney-Paul Ryan event was decked out in red, white, and blue. With a crowd estimated at more than 10,000, it showed an energy among the base for this presidential election.
Susan Allen represented her husband, U.S. Senate candidate George Allen, as she made her way through the throng of supporters. During her remarks on stage, she received a huge cheer when she asked everyone to elect George Allen to the Senate.
