Democrats dodging and weaving in debate on House floor

The discussion going on right now on the House floor shows the evasive measures used by Democrats to jam mandatory health care through at any cost.

Republicans have to stand up, demand, and use whatever parliamentary procedures are at their disposal as the minority Party.

Americans are angry that the House Democrats are moving forward against the will of their fellow countrymen. There's a mood in this country, an awakening awareness of the deceitful leadership from Democrats who have ignored transparency, worked behind closed doors, shut out CSPAN (even though Obama said everything would be debated in front of television cameras), and ignored the voices of 1.2 million Americans who marched on Washington, DC, on September 12, 2009, to say, "We do not want socialized health care."

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH), just gave a rousing speed in front of the House and he received sustained applause from Republicans afterwards. "Have you read the bill?" he asked Democrats. "Hell, no, you haven't read the bill!"

House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi is now passing on the propaganda of the Democrat Party, beginning by saying, "It is with humility and pride...." Isn't that an oxymoron? (Or maybe it's just a moron.)

Health care is a privilege. It is not a right. Why did I work jobs specifically that provided health care when I was young at a time when I would rather have wandered the mountains or painted on the beach? What shall we legislate next? That every family have a new car every year?

The lemmings are following Obama, Pelosi, and Reid over the cliff.

Lynn, you have outdone yourself on your comment about Pelosi's "humility and pride". Oxy)Moron indeed!LOL X 100.

So, what's the next step in the fight. I'm in.

Also, in the little I could stand to watch of the proceedings, it appeared that not only was the Constitution trampled, but also Parliamentary procedure. There was also far too much gavel banging. All of that is unnecessary.

I was so disgusted by the time Pelosi took to the floor, and when she said something about humility and pride in the same breath, I couldn't resist. Her head will grow 10 times its size now, and power will blind her even more than it has.

Good to hear you're still willing to fight the fight. I have a feeling that's what most will say even though in the past people have faded away after something like this. There's a new wind blowing across America....

Well, we will just have to pop that big head with a big pin. There's far too much at stake to do nothing. I'm in for the long haul. My ire's up and and raring for a fight.

I just wish the Conservative Round Table meetings began a little later. I nearly always work the night before and it's very hard to get up and be awake that early in the morning. With my husband out of work right now, I can't afford to ask for time off. BTW if you know of any jobs that a financial analyst, CFO type would fit, let me know. Thanks.

I hear you about breakfast, LOL. I think my eyeballs finally opened about 8:30 last weekend. It's amazing, though ... a big chunk of our crowd gets there around 7:15-7:30 and starts eating before everyone else arrives (it's a buffet). I make it a point to get there early so I can talk wtih folks before the meeting begins. It's a great group. Maybe one of these days we'll do a later event.

I'll keep my ears open for jobs opportunities. It's tough times out there these days....
